Rocky had a central line (a permanent IV in one of the central veins) put in last week, under anathesia in the OR. This is so they can draw blood, but also give infusions, without constantly having to stick him. He is apparently, a hard stick, so they used to have several goes before getting him, VERY distressing to us all. Although there is a risk of infection with the line, Dr Markert is completely on top of it, we know it will be managed well.We found out today that once we move to Dr Markert's ward (The Rankin Ward) post transplant, we will be able to take Rocky outside for a walk in the pram. YAYYY!!!!!!
