After very much looking forward to Tuesday, we had a visit late yesterday from Dr Markert who advised us that the thymus for the transplant, in the final stages of testing, did not pass screening standards.
We are obviously very disappointed, but the Man's safety comes first and the tissue for transplant needs to be perfect. They are 'consenting' (getting tissue) for another thymus today which means we have to wait another two weeks :( and this also means Brett will have to go back before the transplant is done :( :(
Let's pray 3rd time lucky (one they were planning to use had to be thrown out about a week ago for the same reason). We will get there! :)
